Caroline (Cary) Torres is an Associate Professor at Kapi‘olani Community College. She teaches TESOL teacher education to in-service and pre-service teachers and college writing to English learners (ELs). Her work and research focuses on ELs with disabilities, Universal Design for Learning, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and writing instruction.
