En esta sesión la ponente pretende reflexionar y dar a conocer algunas de las dificultades que se ha ido encontrando a lo largo de su carrera profesional con respecto a la enseñanza y aprendizaje de áreas del currículo que se imparten en inglés. Además, compartirá con los asistentes estrategias que la han permitido superar con éxito dichas dificultades.

Recepción en la Residencia del Embajador de Irlanda

El Embajador de Irlanda reúne en su residencia oficial a una importante representación del mundo de la educación con el fin de reforzar la enseñanza bilingüe y las relaciones educativas y culturales entre Irlanda y España. Directores y responsables de internacionalización de centros educativos han asistido a un evento organizado por la Embajada de Irlanda con la colaboración de Language Activities International (LAI) y la asociación Enseñanza Bilingüe. Felicitaciones al Embajador de Irlanda por propiciar un agradable y positivo encuentro que sin duda redundará en beneficio tanto a las ya excelentes relaciones existentes como de actuaciones futuras.

La Asociación Enseñanza Bilingüe ha participado en la 55th Annual NABE Conference, celebrada en Chicago, un espacio único para aprender y compartir en un encuentro con docentes y profesionales de la educación bilingüe de todo el mundo. Gracias a la National Association for Bilingual Education por hacerlo posible. Volvemos a casa con nuevas ideas, mucha inspiración y más ganas que nunca de seguir trabajando por una enseñanza bilingüe de calidad.

Cuarta sesión de DESARROLLO PROFESIONAL Beyond One Language: Characteristics, Challenges, and Instructional Strategies for Gifted Bilingual and Multilingual Learners Nilda Aguirre | NABE

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is opening new possibilities for bilingual education, particularly within Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). By generating tailored resources, offering adaptive feedback, and supporting interactive learning, AI helps address the linguistic demands of subject-specific content. These tools not only enhance student engagement but also enable more personalised approaches, bridging gaps that standard materials often leave unfilled. At the same time, AI offers valuable support for teachers, from streamlining lesson design to fostering deeper understanding of disciplinary language challenges. This presentation highlights recent practices and research on AI’s potential to enrich both teaching and learning while also reflecting on ethical considerations, data privacy, and the risks of overreliance. Overall, it argues for the thoughtful integration of AI as both a teaching assistant and a driver of innovation in inclusive bilingual education.
