Ronald Fuentes is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Memphis and instructor in Bilingual Education at UNIR. His research interests include language policy in education, language ideology and socialization, and immigration and transnationalism. He is particularly interested in how different social, political, familial, and educational decisions position individuals in multilingual and multicultural environments. He examines how these decisions affect individuals’ language attitudes and practices and how these decisions are shaped by immigration and transnationalism.
